Stain Resistance
Performance Comparison #1: For commercial applications in which there are few spills, a white dyeable type 6,6 nylon polymer in Antron® provides a base level of stain resistance superior to type 6 nylon and type 6 solution dyed nylon.

In this test, carpets of Antron® nylon and a competitive type 6 nylon were immersed in fruit drink for 10 minutes, rinsed in water and allowed to dry. Antron® does not absorb the stain because of the tight molecular structure of its type 6,6 nylon. |
Performance Comparison #2: For commercial applications in which spills and stains are frequent, Antron® Lumena™* solution dyed nylon provides superior, durable stain resistance.

This stain test compares Antron® Lumena™* and mill extruded type 6 solution dyed nylon before and after hot water extraction. Note that before hot water extraction, stain resistance is similar. |

Yet after just one cleaning, the topical stain resistance of the type 6 begins breaking down - allowing stains to penetrate carpet fibres. |
|
| Antron® Lumena™* solution dyed nylon is engineered to provide unsurpassed acid stain cleanability that
does not wash off or wear off with traffic. Carpets of Antron® Lumena™* are easy to care for because the colour is locked into the fibre and most
stains can be removed with a mild detergent and water. Intense sunlight and aggressive cleaning will not affect colourfastness.
If stain resistance is an important factor, require at least a rating of 8 after hot water extraction using AATCC 175. |
